Secret Blogger Gift Exchange!!

This year I decided to participate in Jill's secret blogger gift exchange. Last year I wasn't following Jill's blog but I had heard about her all over the blogosphere. I dropped in from time to time to check out who this awesome lady was... and then read on many, many blogs about the gift exchange she hosted last year. I was too shy to sign up last year but this year I was interested in meeting some new people and sharing a gift with someone. Jill also was a huge support to me this year while I was training for my marathon. I always appreciated her advice and thoughts.
I mailed my gift out on Monday and I expect the recipient to receive it by the end of the week (I hope). I will share more on that once he/she receives it. I also have something special in mind to go along with what I sent in the mail. More on that later.

My gift arrived in the mail on Tuesday and I was SO excited!! I knew that someone had been snooping around my blog but I had no idea who it was. I assumed I didn't know the person (because I don't think I'm well-known, which is totally fine with me) and I was right.
Without further ado, Jess was my secret blogger! Since she snooped on me to send me an awesome gift, I snooped on her as well. She just ran her first half marathon this year and it sounds like it was a doozy with a lot of hills. It also looks like it was very scenic being on an island! Based on her photos in the sidebar, it looks like she plays the piccolo, which is amusing to me because I played the flute until I graduated high school and occacsionally would play the piccolo too.
Anyway, she got me an excellent gift and a nice card to go along with it.

Two Bondi Bands! I have seen these all over blog-land but did not own any. They are soft and super comfy. I was excited that one of them has the marathon distance on it so I can show how bad-ass I was for completing a marathon! Thanks, Jessica for the thoughtful gift. And thanks, Jill for hosting this awesome exchange.

How fun! I hope you like those - it seems that many bloggers do from what I read :)

Keychain ornaments are great because not everywhere sells actual ornaments. Or sometimes the ornaments they sell are FUGLY. Haha. That was the case at grandfather mountain... Oh and sometimes ornaments are $15 and a keychain is $5. Ha.

First, I have to apologize for being so blog absent the past couple months...just a very crummy time of year for me, but hopefully things are going to get better and I'll be a better blog friend. It's been awesome getting to know you this year and following your journey - you are incredible and I can't wait to see where 2012 takes you, but I know it will be to some great adventures!!

I'm glad you participated in the exchange this year and how cool are those Bondi Bands?!?!? I think I could use them for the mop of hair I have, I hate wearing hats in the winter, so this would be great. I love the sayings, too!

I hope you have a fantastic Christmas, Kandi!! Big hugs to you!

Fun gifts! I haven't gotten mine yet! Can't wait. I need to go check the blog of the person I sent it to. I don't think she has gotten hers yet either.

I also better go play words with friends! NOw I am way behind again.

I love Bondi bands, a sweet blogger friend bought 2 for me last year as a gift and I use them all the time.

Merry Christmas Kandi, thanks for being my blogger friend.
